I’m so sorry for the lack of updates, but with the issue I had with RENEGADE MEDIA I’ve been knocking my head against a brick wall with my video hosting company to get things back up and running, I sort of lost interest in all updates…including screencaps. I’m currently in contact with my video host and they are saying that things should be back up and running by the weekend. I have my fingers crossed to the point of bleeding. I’m going to try to get all Stephen’s recent episodes done up and added for Monday.

Over the Christmas holidays, I was thinking about what to do about this site, given all the hassles I’ve had of late with those at Stephen’s Official Site and other things, I’ve decided to go ahead tentatively. Which means I’ll still be doing up Stephen’s episodes of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS in screencap and video form, as well as any new events he’s attended, and any press articles I’ve scanned. I’ve noticed there isn’t any other site up on the internet that has the content I do and I hate to deprive Stephen’s fans of that. The thing I cannot understand about all of this is how all the ugliness started. Stephen is such a nice guy and I cannot believe that there could be this much jealousy surrounding him. We should all be happy to celebrate him and the spirit of him. That’s how I feel at least.

Here’s to 2011.

Yours, Dianne

December 27, 2010

I know I haven’t gotten Stephen’s last few appearances up on Y&R and I’m sorry for that. Over the past few days during the Christmas Holidays, I’ve been deciding whether to continue with this site. I’ve been accused of saying that I was Stephen’s official site, something of which I’ve never done, but the taint is there. I love what I’ve built here and what I still have as yet to add but being more or less told time and time again that this site isn’t ‘worth it’ due to many things that have happened the last couple of months is making me wonder if there is a place here for this site. I’ve paid a lot for my resources including pictures and articles and being accused of something I haven’t done just sort of….well, leaves a bitter taste. Not for Stephen, but for those who have accused me. And I haven’t even received an apology. I know how that all sounds, but for me it’s all about the reasons I put this site up to begin with. It was to celebrate Stephen’s career and his projects, never to be competition. Never. And to Sherry at Stephen’s official site, there was never a time when I ever called this site Stephen’s official site. Even on the many message boards I’ve posted to regarding Stephen, I have always directed fans to Stephen’s official site and included mine as a companion FAN site and only that. And nowhere on the web will you ever find I have.

If you have some feedback as to why I should keep this site online and I’ll make the final decision in the new year. For the time being, I’ll work to get up the last little bit of Stephen for 2010 into the gallery and the media section. Sorry for the delay on that.

Yours, Dianne

I found this little thing on Stephen as Tucker. It’s from Daytime Confidential and is the current cover story on SOAP OPERA DIGEST

Cover Story: Blown Away! Batten down the hatches, a twister threatens lives and loves on Y&R! Genoa City is being battered by high winds as a potential tornado threatens the Midwest burg, but the blustery storm also tosses together unexpected couples. For starters, Diane and Tucker are in his apartment discussing her contract when they suddenly end up in bed! “It just kind of happens,” chuckles Maura West (Diane). “It’s written so that youdon’t know exactly who is making the moves. She’s not married, so she can do whatever she wants.”

Uh, isn’t Tucker involved with Ashley? “Tucker has never fallen this hard for anyone like he has with Ashley,” acknowledges Stephen Nichols (Tucker). “He has avoided, at all costs, that kind of intimacy. The other thing, casual sex is Tucker’s habit.” `

After the deed is done, there isn’t much time for afterglow when hurricane-force winds suddenly shatter the windows and broken glass is everywhere. Tucker and Diane are hurriedly getting dressed when Abby and Daniel come knocking. “Abby is concerned for her mom and is looking for her,” West explains. “Abby thinks the most logical place to look is at Tucker’s place. He answers the door and Diane is standing there demurely. Abby didn’t at all expect to find Diane there.”

Abby immediately demands to know what is going on. “It’s funny because there’s really no strong reason or evidence for Abby to be suspicious, except that Diane and Tucker are a little flushed,” smiles West. “But Abby is like this little sleuth and starts asking, ‘Why would you be here in the middle of a storm?’ She does have a point. Tucker explains that they were just discussing business, so that’s their story and they’re sticking to it, but it’s pretty clear that Abby’s not buying it.”

After Abby and Daniel leave, Tucker informs Diane that their romp was a one-time thing and their relationship has to remain strictly business from now on. “Oooh, that stings — and it’s mean,” sighs West. “She is a woman and that’s just not a nice thing to say a few minutes after having sex. It’s hurtful.” But Nichols points out, “Tucker immediately regrets it and this affects him. He sees how much he really does care for Ashley. As disciplined as Tucker is about business, old habits die hard.”

Abby is just outside the door and declares to Daniel that Tucker cheated on her mother with Diane. Ashley unexpectedly shows up and overhears her daughter’s comment, so Abby reveals what she and Daniel walked in on. Ashley escorts them back into Tucker’s apartment, where the sinners insist they were having a business meeting. Ashley seems appeased with their account, which irks Abby. “Abby says to her mom, ‘Look at the way they look at each other. This is not entirely innocent!'” says West. “But for whatever reason, Ashley doesn’t pounce on that right there. Diane has a poker face, but she also somewhat enjoys this. There’s no love lost between her and Ashley, and to watch a powerful man like Tucker McCall be uncomfortable is entertaining to a woman like Diane.”

Looks like Tucker is really feeling bad about cheating on Ashley (Eileen Davidson). At least they’ve added this element. I’d have really been pissed had Tucker actually liked being with Diane (Maura West). Ah, Tucker’s just an old cat on the prowel finding a stray.

09 28 2010 – PRESS ADDITION
September 28, 2010

I have a new article on Stephen with his Y&R co-star, Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott). Here they explain all about what it’s like to finally be paired in a romantic setting, about chair tossing and Stephen’s hands. Here’s an excerpt:

Digest: What did you both think of the scenes when Tucker threw a patio chair through a window and they had sex?

Davidson: I love doing that kind of stuff. I really like the old-fashioned, dramatic, romantic man-conquers-woman/woman-conquers-man scenes. I think it’s fun. He was throwing the chair to get her attention, not to hurt her.

Nichols: It was about passion, Tucker knew he had to do something to shake her up. It wasn’t violent, it was passionate. For Tucker to go to those lengths means that she’s really gotten to him.

Just a preview today, but what a preview. Looks like Smilin’ Jack (Peter Bergman) is in hot doo-doo. I should have subtitled this the “You’re Fired” edition. Wondering if that position at Jabot that’s about to be empty will be filled quickly with Victoria (Amelia Heinle)? Could it be that offer at Chance’s (John Driscoll) wake has anything to do with it? I’ve also added an article to the press section I promised a few days ago. It’s between Stephen and Tamara Braun on their roles of Steve Johnson and Ava Vitali on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. It’s a really good read. Watch out for the line Tamara throws out there on Stephen’s ‘one good eye’. Classic Tamara. I also have to fix an issue with the gallery banner.

  • [ 001 ] PRESS ADDITION: 07/09/2008 – THE DYNAMIC EFFECT

Once again, so sorry these are late, but my mom had her follow-up appointment about her surgery and then I had some shopping I had to do for her later Friday and didn’t get home till later. Fortunately, my partner took my out to dinner. Italian…. Yummmmmm, smack! I then had to go to my mom’s to do some housework for her since she fell Saturday afternoon. She’s okay, though she bruised her hip and hit the arm she had her surgery on. I came home late Saturday and got to work on Stephen…. Though I’d love it if Stephen got to work on me! My bad…sorry Lisa Nichols!A great day for Stephen as Tucker as he sets his protean plan into motion to gain control over the Miskoshi deal for Beauty of Nature. Loved his scenes with Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott) and with Jess Walton (Jill Abbott), though I would have to say that I’m loving Tucker getting the best of Jill. It’s about time. About the clip: I decided to include all of the mentions of Tucker and or his storyline, this included scenes with Billy Miller (Billy Abbott), Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman) and Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman). I have some press scans for your interest. So sorry for the lack of updates, but I’ve been preparing my mom for surgery she’s having on May 25th. Also there’s been very little to report as far as Stephen on Y&R is concerened. I’ve often thought of writing a letter to one of the soap magazines asking if Stephen wa still on contract. I’d hoped that perhaps CBS had allowed him to go back momentarily to NBC and DOOL for a small part in the funeral of Gramma Horton and for the final sendoff of Frances Reid who passed away on February 3, 2010. Apparently not. Ah well, he’s been on a grand total of three times this past month, I guess beggars can’t be chosers, can one? Also, I’ve been taking the time to teach myself some other coding in creating websites. So far, not so good. ETA: Apparently I screwed up on the clip for the 05/18/2010 episode. I didn’t get the ending including a scene between Tucker and Ashley (Eileen Davidson). I’ve re-edited the clip and amended the link below. It is the corrected version now. Lots of stuff for you tonight. Yeah, I’m up and slaving away to give you the goods. Finally, some news that Tucker’s story is heating up. Seems he and Moneybags Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) are going to be going head-to-head over Ashley (Eileen Davidson). Seems incongruous since Victor and Ashley are about to divorce, but hey, as long as Tucker’s involved, I am delighted. The current edition of CBS SOAPS IN DEPTH has a main article on this story and Stephen comments on it. The magazine also has a major article with Stephen. All scans will be in the gallery as usual. I also have some promotional shots of Stephen from THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS. Again, you can find those in the gallery.
