Tucker as Abby’s (Marcy Rylan) roadkill? Not in this lifetime. Can I hate that character any more than I already do? I don’t think so, but I have a feeling if Ashley (Eileen Davidson) keeps covering up for Abby, I might add Ashley to that hate list. And Katherine’s (Jeanne Cooper) sudden epiphany? Just the other day she was calling him a bastard. According to the soap publications, things are going to heat up with the fight for Jabot, Newman and Tucker McCall Unlimited. Sophia (Julia Pace Mitchell) is suppose to take control of Tucker’s empire.

Stand and cheer, Tucker finally gave it back to that old battle axe who gave birth to him then gave him away. I was so happy with Tucker. Kudos to the writers for finally realizing Kay’s (Jeanne Cooper) not ‘mother of the year’ material.

Earlybird catches the worm….. I know I should have had these up yesterday…day-ahead and all, but I had family thing and I couldn’t get things done till this morning. I also had Ted King screencaps and clip to do for his character of Tomas on ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Sorry.

Could Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) get any more of a harpy? Seriously, she need to go and ingest a huge batch of humble pie. I’m so tired of Tucker being made to be the scapegoat for all things Newman. I was also glad that Ashley (Eileen Davidson) told her off and reminded Katherine what kind of a parent John (Jerry Douglas) was in that he’d never abandon one of his children. Bravo Ashley. Monday’s preview is tacked on the end of the clip. I’ll have Monday’s episode up tomorrow (Saturday).

I wasn’t able to post yesterday due to a couple of errands I had to run for my mom. She’s having medical problems and can’t get out to do her usual things. I’m sure you understand.

Anyway, Stephen was just so sweet yesterday. I’m totally loving the relationship between Tucker and Ashley. Stephen and Eileen Davidson make this pairing utterly believable. I love too how they had Ashley trust Tucker. The only cog in the wheel is Katherine (Jeanne Cooper.) I’m totally non-plused how they can make Katherine so dismissive of Tucker and believe the worst about him. Like Victor (Eric Braeden) and Jack (Peter Bergman) haven’t done their share of things that were worse than anything Tucker has ever or could ever do. I truly hope they end this soon. Kay’s beginning to sound like an old hag blathering on about nothing. Certainly this former alcoholic who admitted to giving Tucker away like an old pair of shoes, has no cause to stand on her high horse. I hope Ashley goes to Katherine to give her a good dose of reality considering Victor and Jack’s shortcomings…all of them. Given too Katherine threatened to tell Ashley…I love that Tucker already told her. Nipped that one in the bud, didn’t he?

How can one say Mommie Dearest? I was furious with Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) today, lighting into Tucker like that. As you’ll see from the video Katherine was angry with our guy over the whole Beauty of Nature/Newman Lawsuit and what Tucker’s involvement was. Is she going to go to Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and rip her a new one? Likley not. Tucker looked like that little penquin standing there breathing heavily and looking like the wounded baby he was.

A little note here, my computer has to go back to the shop for some repairs. Apparently there’s a few issues that need tending to, so that means I’ll be without from Monday morning until I get it back. I’ve been told 2-7 days. The last time I sent it back, I was without it for two. Hopefully that will be the case this time. So due to that, I’ll be in a crunch in updating. I’ll also have whatever episodes of ONE LIFE TO LIVE to do since Ted King plays the part of Tomas Delgado. Please be patient. I’ll get the updates done as soon as is possible depending on how many times Stephen will be on next week.

While perusing the various Y&R message boards, I came across this that just about made me spit my tea out at my computer…not a good thing since it’s going into the shop to get repaired on Monday. But I digress….. Someone named LilKittenpaws on the IMDB board seems to have her information on Stephen in error. Let’s take a look at what she said… More below the cut.

SN lasted about 5 years on DOOL and for most of the time he was part of a popular couple, not male lead of the show. (I guess he was so popular he was fired? 5 years is not a long run on a soap) He was at GH for about six years after that, and he was part of a wealthy criminal family but not a power player, and not even close to male lead of the show.(And again, so popular- fired again) Then DOOL rehired him and his love interest to give it another try. It fizzled pretty quick, they were let go,(yet once again) after a couple years.

Tucker was originally written to be a wealthy business power player, SN has never played that, and he doesn’t have the bigger than life presence to pull it off. I notice they have tweaked the role to have him sneaky instead, working his business dealings through others. He doesn’t confront the men power players face to face. If he’s in an angry confrontation it’s written with a woman. And even with the women his voice doesn’t project enough power so he must shout at them, which backfires because his ranting looks like he can’t control himself.

Can the writers put Tucker face to face in confrontation with Victor, Adam, or Nick? Sure, but he will look weak. They can write the script to have Tucker overpower every guy in town but it would come off as comedy. Even the thought of the other men characters shaking in their boots over Tucker’s threats or business dealings makes me laugh.

She further states in another post:

We don’t really need a Tucker character. He’s too similar to Victor and we have more than enough Victor. Two old man egotistical Victor-types fighting, two old guy egotistical Victor-types that must win every business deal in town. Who cares? BORING! The woman need to be in the business picture and the younger men need to be developed. The only reason Y&R needs older male characters is to pair with it older veteran female characters.

Ashley can easily be paired with a younger man, she doesn’t need a guy a decade older. He’s unsuitable for Jill (Not Tucker, SN too short/small-framed). Nikki has the male-chauvinist man in Victor, why would she want to be with another that she has no family with? She chooses victor opposites if not with Victor.(Plus SN is small next to her size wise too) Can’t see him with Gloria. And he’s a good 15 years older than Phyllis. I don’t think she would accept him anyway, as a leading lady of the show they would bring in a hot young stub for her (and us) to enjoy.

How does one counter such idiocy? It boggles my mind. Tucker is not a copy of Victor (Eric Braeden). Not in any shape, form or description. And to say that Ashley (Eileen Davidson) shouldn’t be paired with a man almost a decade older…. That just smacks of all kinds of stupid. What Ms. LilKittenpaws fails to note is that Tucker is the son of a legacy character in Katherine (Jeanne Cooper). So because Stephen is what could be considered ‘short’ (he’s 5′ 11″) he shouldn’t be paired with women who are…also short or tall….? Would mean that Sonny and Cher were all kinds of wrong. Or should I mention Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban? Then there is the obvious misinformation she cites about Stephen’s tenure on both DAYS OF OUR LIVES and GENERAL HOSPITAL. She says that Stephen was fired from DOOL the first time around. We all know Stephen was itching to try something new and chose to leave on his own accord. As far as GH is concerned, we all know what happened when the Phelps/Frons/Guza regime came in. Honestly, this person comes off as a snotty 13-year-old whose parents wouldn’t let her on the Justin Beiber board. Any comments to enlighten this person.

Some nice scenes today with Stephen and Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor.) I was pretty impressed with the writing for today’s writing. It gave a sense of humanity to Tucker that has been somewhat lacking of late. Not that Stephen hasn’t given it his all, we know he does, but there was a certain bit of honesty between Jeanne and Stephen. I loved that Tucker asked if he and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) could be married at the mansion. Just some lovely little persona touches both actors brought to the ‘table’.

A long time no post. I’ve had continued problems with the RENEGADE MEDIA site in which I haven’t been able to upload videos. It’s been a month-long issue that’s only served to make me more pissed as time has gone on. Also Stephen’s severe lack of screentime with the casting of Tristan Rogers who I feel has usurped a lot of Stephen’s storyline. Yeah I know, “What does the Moofia have to do with Tucker?” Plenty. It seems as if both Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Tucker have taken a backseat to this cattle drama. We only get to see Tucker when we see Cane (Daniel Goddard) and his continued lying. This is not what you do with a talent like Stephen. You don’t bench him in favour of lesser storylines. Yeah I know that Lily (Christel Khalil) and Cane’s story. You give a man of Stephen’s stature his own story. We had that small interaction with Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) after New Years, but there’s been little else. Anyway…..

I’m going to be doing some upgrading on the gallery. Things will look a little hinky for about a half and hour, but rest assured, the gallery you’ve come to know and love will be back to its awesome self soon. Hopefully I can get the clips up in the media site as well…that is if my hosting company can get their collectives together to actually get my sites back to the good running order they were before they screwed up.

Negativity over. I’ll hopefully have Stephen’s December 17, 22 & 23rd/2010 plus his January 05/2011 episodes done and up within the next couple of days.
