A long time no post. I’ve had continued problems with the RENEGADE MEDIA site in which I haven’t been able to upload videos. It’s been a month-long issue that’s only served to make me more pissed as time has gone on. Also Stephen’s severe lack of screentime with the casting of Tristan Rogers who I feel has usurped a lot of Stephen’s storyline. Yeah I know, “What does the Moofia have to do with Tucker?” Plenty. It seems as if both Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Tucker have taken a backseat to this cattle drama. We only get to see Tucker when we see Cane (Daniel Goddard) and his continued lying. This is not what you do with a talent like Stephen. You don’t bench him in favour of lesser storylines. Yeah I know that Lily (Christel Khalil) and Cane’s story. You give a man of Stephen’s stature his own story. We had that small interaction with Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) after New Years, but there’s been little else. Anyway…..

I’m going to be doing some upgrading on the gallery. Things will look a little hinky for about a half and hour, but rest assured, the gallery you’ve come to know and love will be back to its awesome self soon. Hopefully I can get the clips up in the media site as well…that is if my hosting company can get their collectives together to actually get my sites back to the good running order they were before they screwed up.

Negativity over. I’ll hopefully have Stephen’s December 17, 22 & 23rd/2010 plus his January 05/2011 episodes done and up within the next couple of days.

Well, where has Stephen’s story gone? Today he was backdrop for Jack (Peter Bergman) and Abby’s (Marcy Rylan) angst over Victor (Eric Braeden). I hear that GENERAL HOSPITAL veteran Tristan Rogers has tweeted that he’s enjoying working with Jess Walton (Jill Abbott). Isn’t this where Stephen started when he first came on? I’m almost wanting Tucker back with Diane (Maura West). At least he had story there. There should have been some mention of Tucker’s absence at Katherine’s (Jeanne Cooper), but there wasn’t. It was all about Ronan (Jeff Branson). So where…exactly is Stephen supposed to get his well-deserved story with all this other stuff going on? Go figure!

This is the turkey day in Canada version of STEPHEN NICHOLS ONLINE. I’m all full and really in need of some Tums right now, but I’m here for you with Stephen’s media for today. Yep, even though I’m bursting at the seems full with Thanksgiving Day dinner, I’m present and accounted for. See how fearless your leader is?

I am hoping they are not thinking of breaking up Tucker and Ashley (Eileen Davidson). Stephen had his first scene with the apparently de-sorased Diane Jenkins now being played by former AS THE WORLD TURNS actress, Maura West. Personally, I’d prefer the return of Alex Donnelly to the role she made famous. These newer versions of Diane are not the one I remember Alex playing. Her chemistry with Steven Ford, who played Andy Richards, was quite good and she wasn’t this whack nut. My hope is that this is just a lull to reintroduce Diane on the canvas and not a sign of things to come. I’m also hoping this sullenness on Tucker’s behalf over the situation with Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) won’t be long lasting. While I understand it’s all about the drama, this kind of manufactured drama is unnecessary. I prefer organic, character driven storytelling. Please Y&R, don’t screw up Tucker and Ashley.

Here, finally, are the screencaps and clip from yesterday (Canada)/today (US) episode. As always, Stephen was sublime. I loved the part where Tucker comforted Jill (Jess Walton) after both their rebukes by Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) at the hospital. Even though Tucker and Jill have been done for months, Tucker still cared for Jill and her feelings. The one downside to the episode was when Abby (Marcy Rylan) arrived at the Genoa City Athletic Club and spied Tucker and Jill’s scene. Of course, she’s drawing conclusions that don’t need to be drawn. And we all know she’s going to run off and tell Ashley (Eileen Davidson) what she saw. Tattletale.

A good day for Stephen. Lots of good drama centering on Tucker. Finally! I loved his scenes with Peter Bergman (Jack) and at the end there with Jeanne Cooper (Katherine). I’m really hoping this is the start of something bigger for Tucker. All in all, I’m happy for today’s scenes. More tomorrow. Tucker is mentioned in my on-screen programming guide. Three days in a row…it has been a good week.

I cannot believe we are into October already. It seems hard to believe in two months, it’ll be a year since Stephen was hired to play Tucker McCall. And I can say that I’m always awed by Stephen’s subtlety as an actor. Today was no different. I always love his scenes with Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor). There’s always an air of the ether being lifted when these two powerhouses are on screen. Today’s episode was really good in showing how good Stephen is at what I like to call ‘The Boo Boo Factor’. And what is the boo boo factor? Glad you asked. It’s that thing Stephen does and does well when his character, and it doesn’t matter who he’s playing whether that be Tucker, Steve, or Stefan, when he’s feeling like he’s being put ina corner, he gets this little pouty kitten look to him. It’s at this time that I want to scratch him under his chin and tell him everything would be okay.

My apologies for not having this up earlier but I had a family thing to go to and I didn’t get home till late. I had dinner to make for my partner and I, recording while we ate so now here are the screencaps, preview caps and clip.

It’s a little longer clip than I usually do. This was due to Chance’s (John Driscoll) funeral, throughout the most of it, Stephen was just background eye candy. He had about four small but key scenes that were sheer heaven, just seeing him naviate his way around the Chancellor family…sublime. I loved Stephen’s scenes with Beau Kayzer who plays the part of Brock Reynolds, Katherine’s (Jeanne Cooper) other son. There was a scene with Tucker, Kay and Brock that was particularly wonderful to watch. I also included most of the footage of Chance’s funeral, mostly because I thought it was very tastefully done. The part where the flag folding occurred and it’s presentation to Nina (Tricia Cast) made me cry. I just thought his send off was quite well done. The twenty one gun salute in the distance and the playing of taps…brava to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS for doing such a classy job at sending Chance off well. Too bad we didn’t get a better send off for Liz Foster (Julianna McCarthy).

My gosh, that Tucker is a manipulative bastard. I am loving Stephen’s handling of Tucker’s underlings. So well played like a master. He’s got both Victor (Eric Braeden) and Jack (Peter Bergman) off kilter while manipulating Abby (Marcy Rylan) and approaching Victoria (Amelia Heinle) in broad daylight in front of Jack, offering her the co-CEO job at Jabot without really mentioning it, but we as the viewer knew exactly what he was dangling in front of Victoria in front of Jack. Talk about a true chess player. This man certainly knows the meaning of checkmate. What cheek. He’d give James Bond a run for his money and give more than enough competition to Daniel Craig to make him worry about the future of his job. I know, “Hyperbole much….” Don’t care. It was wonderful seeing Tucker working that room like he did. Makes me not want to get on Tucker’s bad side. My feeling is I might end up like Ms. Fields (Gemma Arterton) did in QUANTUM OF SOLACE. Yes, thinking of starting a campaign to have Stephen Nichols as the next Bond villian right there behind Mads Mikkelsen (La Chiffre, CASINO ROYALE) and Mathieu Amalric (Dominck Greene, QUANTUM OF SOLACE.
