Tucker as Abby’s (Marcy Rylan) roadkill? Not in this lifetime. Can I hate that character any more than I already do? I don’t think so, but I have a feeling if Ashley (Eileen Davidson) keeps covering up for Abby, I might add Ashley to that hate list. And Katherine’s (Jeanne Cooper) sudden epiphany? Just the other day she was calling him a bastard. According to the soap publications, things are going to heat up with the fight for Jabot, Newman and Tucker McCall Unlimited. Sophia (Julia Pace Mitchell) is suppose to take control of Tucker’s empire.

May I say I’m loving the relationship between Tucker and Ashley. Stephen and Eileen are just magical in showing us the love these two have for one another. I love how playful Eileen makes Stephen. So much to love about this storyline. I’m hoping Abby (Marcy Rylan) can’t do something to screw this up. We need a good strong and committed couple on this show.

No Stephen on today’s episode, but I do have screencaps and clip from Monday (Canadian)/Tuesday (United States) airing. Looks like Tucker is being read the riot act by Ashley (Eileen Davidson) regarding Abby (Marcy Rylan) who, but th looks of it, is back to stripping in public….AGAIN! Nothing new there. Honestly, that storyline is getting more and more ridiculous. With the money Abby won in the suit against Victor (Eric Braeden) looks like this is the future for this once very sincere character with Haley Erin. Oh I miss her more introspective Abby. I hate Marcy Rylan’s with a passion of a thousand sons. I know none of the last bit had anything to do with Stephen, just my itty, bitty, teeny, weeny mini rant. My webspace, my prerogative.

Well, where has Stephen’s story gone? Today he was backdrop for Jack (Peter Bergman) and Abby’s (Marcy Rylan) angst over Victor (Eric Braeden). I hear that GENERAL HOSPITAL veteran Tristan Rogers has tweeted that he’s enjoying working with Jess Walton (Jill Abbott). Isn’t this where Stephen started when he first came on? I’m almost wanting Tucker back with Diane (Maura West). At least he had story there. There should have been some mention of Tucker’s absence at Katherine’s (Jeanne Cooper), but there wasn’t. It was all about Ronan (Jeff Branson). So where…exactly is Stephen supposed to get his well-deserved story with all this other stuff going on? Go figure!

A good day with Stephen. I was really impressed with how they’re handling that little indiscretion that should never have happened. It was totally out of character with Tucker. He’s never been one to be that much out of control. I’m hoping at some point they’ll rectify it by having Tucker tell Ashley (Eileen Davidson) outright instead of leaving it up to the somewhat unbalanced nature Diane (Maura West) has. She’s too unpredictable. I must say today, Abby (Marcy Rylan) didn’t annoy me half as much as she usually does. That’s a shock. The preview for 10/26/2010 is tacked onto the end of the clip, screencaps are separate.

ETA @ 5:35AM: It was brought to my attention that the video I posted yesterday didn’t work. I took a look at it and was shocked it didn’t. There was likely a problem in the conversion process when I clipped it up. The program I used converted it properly, but the video just didn’t produce. My apologies. Below is the amended clip.

I found this little thing on Stephen as Tucker. It’s from Daytime Confidential and is the current cover story on SOAP OPERA DIGEST

Cover Story: Blown Away! Batten down the hatches, a twister threatens lives and loves on Y&R! Genoa City is being battered by high winds as a potential tornado threatens the Midwest burg, but the blustery storm also tosses together unexpected couples. For starters, Diane and Tucker are in his apartment discussing her contract when they suddenly end up in bed! “It just kind of happens,” chuckles Maura West (Diane). “It’s written so that youdon’t know exactly who is making the moves. She’s not married, so she can do whatever she wants.”

Uh, isn’t Tucker involved with Ashley? “Tucker has never fallen this hard for anyone like he has with Ashley,” acknowledges Stephen Nichols (Tucker). “He has avoided, at all costs, that kind of intimacy. The other thing, casual sex is Tucker’s habit.” `

After the deed is done, there isn’t much time for afterglow when hurricane-force winds suddenly shatter the windows and broken glass is everywhere. Tucker and Diane are hurriedly getting dressed when Abby and Daniel come knocking. “Abby is concerned for her mom and is looking for her,” West explains. “Abby thinks the most logical place to look is at Tucker’s place. He answers the door and Diane is standing there demurely. Abby didn’t at all expect to find Diane there.”

Abby immediately demands to know what is going on. “It’s funny because there’s really no strong reason or evidence for Abby to be suspicious, except that Diane and Tucker are a little flushed,” smiles West. “But Abby is like this little sleuth and starts asking, ‘Why would you be here in the middle of a storm?’ She does have a point. Tucker explains that they were just discussing business, so that’s their story and they’re sticking to it, but it’s pretty clear that Abby’s not buying it.”

After Abby and Daniel leave, Tucker informs Diane that their romp was a one-time thing and their relationship has to remain strictly business from now on. “Oooh, that stings — and it’s mean,” sighs West. “She is a woman and that’s just not a nice thing to say a few minutes after having sex. It’s hurtful.” But Nichols points out, “Tucker immediately regrets it and this affects him. He sees how much he really does care for Ashley. As disciplined as Tucker is about business, old habits die hard.”

Abby is just outside the door and declares to Daniel that Tucker cheated on her mother with Diane. Ashley unexpectedly shows up and overhears her daughter’s comment, so Abby reveals what she and Daniel walked in on. Ashley escorts them back into Tucker’s apartment, where the sinners insist they were having a business meeting. Ashley seems appeased with their account, which irks Abby. “Abby says to her mom, ‘Look at the way they look at each other. This is not entirely innocent!'” says West. “But for whatever reason, Ashley doesn’t pounce on that right there. Diane has a poker face, but she also somewhat enjoys this. There’s no love lost between her and Ashley, and to watch a powerful man like Tucker McCall be uncomfortable is entertaining to a woman like Diane.”

Looks like Tucker is really feeling bad about cheating on Ashley (Eileen Davidson). At least they’ve added this element. I’d have really been pissed had Tucker actually liked being with Diane (Maura West). Ah, Tucker’s just an old cat on the prowel finding a stray.

Well, hopefully Tucker’s response to Diane (Maura West) about the ONS being a ‘one time only’ event, is true. Personally I think it was wrong, but I’m not a writer of this show. Too bad, I’d fix a lot of things in a ‘retrofit’ sort of way. And may I say that I hate Abby (Marcy Rylan) with a passion. She acts just like a hyperactive Chihuahua. She needs to tone down on the lattes. The caffeine is getting to her.

I know the stuff is kind of late tonight. I had already edited the clip, but on review I noticed I’d left in a chunk including a few commercials and more of the show than I’d intended. I had to re-edit and upload…

My gosh, that Tucker is a manipulative bastard. I am loving Stephen’s handling of Tucker’s underlings. So well played like a master. He’s got both Victor (Eric Braeden) and Jack (Peter Bergman) off kilter while manipulating Abby (Marcy Rylan) and approaching Victoria (Amelia Heinle) in broad daylight in front of Jack, offering her the co-CEO job at Jabot without really mentioning it, but we as the viewer knew exactly what he was dangling in front of Victoria in front of Jack. Talk about a true chess player. This man certainly knows the meaning of checkmate. What cheek. He’d give James Bond a run for his money and give more than enough competition to Daniel Craig to make him worry about the future of his job. I know, “Hyperbole much….” Don’t care. It was wonderful seeing Tucker working that room like he did. Makes me not want to get on Tucker’s bad side. My feeling is I might end up like Ms. Fields (Gemma Arterton) did in QUANTUM OF SOLACE. Yes, thinking of starting a campaign to have Stephen Nichols as the next Bond villian right there behind Mads Mikkelsen (La Chiffre, CASINO ROYALE) and Mathieu Amalric (Dominck Greene, QUANTUM OF SOLACE.
