I wasn’t able to post yesterday due to a couple of errands I had to run for my mom. She’s having medical problems and can’t get out to do her usual things. I’m sure you understand.

Anyway, Stephen was just so sweet yesterday. I’m totally loving the relationship between Tucker and Ashley. Stephen and Eileen Davidson make this pairing utterly believable. I love too how they had Ashley trust Tucker. The only cog in the wheel is Katherine (Jeanne Cooper.) I’m totally non-plused how they can make Katherine so dismissive of Tucker and believe the worst about him. Like Victor (Eric Braeden) and Jack (Peter Bergman) haven’t done their share of things that were worse than anything Tucker has ever or could ever do. I truly hope they end this soon. Kay’s beginning to sound like an old hag blathering on about nothing. Certainly this former alcoholic who admitted to giving Tucker away like an old pair of shoes, has no cause to stand on her high horse. I hope Ashley goes to Katherine to give her a good dose of reality considering Victor and Jack’s shortcomings…all of them. Given too Katherine threatened to tell Ashley…I love that Tucker already told her. Nipped that one in the bud, didn’t he?

Well, where has Stephen’s story gone? Today he was backdrop for Jack (Peter Bergman) and Abby’s (Marcy Rylan) angst over Victor (Eric Braeden). I hear that GENERAL HOSPITAL veteran Tristan Rogers has tweeted that he’s enjoying working with Jess Walton (Jill Abbott). Isn’t this where Stephen started when he first came on? I’m almost wanting Tucker back with Diane (Maura West). At least he had story there. There should have been some mention of Tucker’s absence at Katherine’s (Jeanne Cooper), but there wasn’t. It was all about Ronan (Jeff Branson). So where…exactly is Stephen supposed to get his well-deserved story with all this other stuff going on? Go figure!

Damn, I was hoping Tucker would be onto Blake (Paul Leydon). It seemed like in the preview they were leading to his being found out. Come on writers, make Tucker more intelligent than this. This guy has more than either Victor (Eric Braeden) and Jack (Peter Bergman). He’s got a sixth sense to him that needs to be brought to the fore. This is The Tuckernator afterall. I also hear that Laura Stone (Skye Lockhart Newman) has been given her walking papers. Once more, a soap opera getting rid of one of its better assets. Laura is amazing and I love her wit and her ability to throw a good line. Seems what Michael Logan said in a recent article about the death of Zach Slater, played by the impressively handsome and wonderful Thorsten Kaye, that the only thing that soaps are interested in these days are as he termed it, “Soaps are overpopulated with pretty but vacuous underpants models.” I’m afraid I have to agree with him. The really good actors are let go or not hired in order to fill out roles with ‘yes’ men and women who will not challenge the integrity of the work they’re being asked to do. I only have to cite what happened to Tamara Braun in her three roles as Carly on GENERAL HOSPITAL, Ava on DAYS OF OUR LIVES and as Reese in ALL MY CHILDREN. Instead what we have is a group of over-hyped frat boys and sorority gals getting off on hiring the ‘it’ girls and guys that will acquiesce to the whims of the idiot writers.

A good day for Stephen. Lots of good drama centering on Tucker. Finally! I loved his scenes with Peter Bergman (Jack) and at the end there with Jeanne Cooper (Katherine). I’m really hoping this is the start of something bigger for Tucker. All in all, I’m happy for today’s scenes. More tomorrow. Tucker is mentioned in my on-screen programming guide. Three days in a row…it has been a good week.

I should subtitle this post as the: Jack (Peter Bergman) is in hot doo-doo with Tucker. I’m loving the squeeze Tucker is putting on Jack. After some of the more apalling things Jack has done in his past, I’d say that Tucker is giving some of that back and more. One thing though, in the scene where Tucker approaches Jack at the bar at the Genoa City Athletic Club, I could have sworn I heard the theme from Godzilla. Not the Roland Emmerich version, but the classic Kaiju version with the English subs. I’m thinking the scene in GODZILLA VS. MEGAGUIRIUS where he emerges from the harbour to go on another of his wrecking rampages. Only this is the more stealth version of the big green guy. Tucker just seemed to be full of menace and this is the Tucker I love. Keep it up Stephen.

Just a preview today, but what a preview. Looks like Smilin’ Jack (Peter Bergman) is in hot doo-doo. I should have subtitled this the “You’re Fired” edition. Wondering if that position at Jabot that’s about to be empty will be filled quickly with Victoria (Amelia Heinle)? Could it be that offer at Chance’s (John Driscoll) wake has anything to do with it? I’ve also added an article to the press section I promised a few days ago. It’s between Stephen and Tamara Braun on their roles of Steve Johnson and Ava Vitali on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. It’s a really good read. Watch out for the line Tamara throws out there on Stephen’s ‘one good eye’. Classic Tamara. I also have to fix an issue with the gallery banner.

My gosh, that Tucker is a manipulative bastard. I am loving Stephen’s handling of Tucker’s underlings. So well played like a master. He’s got both Victor (Eric Braeden) and Jack (Peter Bergman) off kilter while manipulating Abby (Marcy Rylan) and approaching Victoria (Amelia Heinle) in broad daylight in front of Jack, offering her the co-CEO job at Jabot without really mentioning it, but we as the viewer knew exactly what he was dangling in front of Victoria in front of Jack. Talk about a true chess player. This man certainly knows the meaning of checkmate. What cheek. He’d give James Bond a run for his money and give more than enough competition to Daniel Craig to make him worry about the future of his job. I know, “Hyperbole much….” Don’t care. It was wonderful seeing Tucker working that room like he did. Makes me not want to get on Tucker’s bad side. My feeling is I might end up like Ms. Fields (Gemma Arterton) did in QUANTUM OF SOLACE. Yes, thinking of starting a campaign to have Stephen Nichols as the next Bond villian right there behind Mads Mikkelsen (La Chiffre, CASINO ROYALE) and Mathieu Amalric (Dominck Greene, QUANTUM OF SOLACE.
